The NFL’s Oakland Raiders team will be moving, once again, but this time not back to LA! As if there wasn’t already enough of a reason to travel to Las Vegas, starting August of 2020, this Nevada hotspot will be offering even more. Allegiant Stadium will be the new home of the Raiders, named after the Las Vegas based travel company, and will host 65,000 seats and be 1.75 million square feet. The team was in desperate need of a new stadium after playing in what is considered one of the worst stadiums, and they’re in for quite the upgrade here in Vegas.

Initially professional sports were not in Vegas at all. Even though it is a large United States city, it never hosted any team from the NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB. Many believe this is due to the scandals waiting to happen because of the Las Vegas casino and club lifestyle it is famously known for, while others blame it on the fact that there is already just way too much stuff to do, which would cause ticket sales to not be profitable enough.

Whether you are for, or against this professional football team’s move, it is going to benefit Las Vegas a ton! The Raiders have a huge fan base, which in turn means more tourism. More tourism means more revenue for our city and more support for local businesses and the economy overall, which can never be a bad thing. The move also offers more jobs. Employees are needed to build the stadium, and there will also be a need for people to run the actual stadium like security and concession stand operators.

The benefits for real estate in particular is that it will push Las Vegas even more above the market than we already are. In a lot of areas, we are witnessing a bit of a slow down, and while we have definitely seen a little bit of fluctuation in the market here in Vegas, we’re not seeing the slow down and price dips that are occurring in places like New York. With this new addition to our town, I believe that this steady market will continue to prosper.

So many exciting things happening in Vegas, especially the real estate here. If you don’t live here yet, keep up with my blogs to become persuaded.

Personally, I am excited about the football team raiding Vegas, but I’m curious about your opinion. Are you for the move or against it? Comment below and fight for your side!
