Welcome to another episode of Elevate Vegas! You know I love filling you in on the back story to popular developments in the area. Today I am going to tell you about a great new shopping center.

You think it’s always hot in Vegas right? I am not just talking about the temperature here…

In this episode, I am going to show you around a sprawling shopping complex in the Silverado Ranch neighborhood. While this place is clearly popular now, about twelve years ago, it was even hotter. Before the Sprouts and some other stores popped up, there was a huge condominium complex called the Murano that caught fire. If you do the math on that, twelve years ago would be at the peak of the real estate crash.

The Murano Condos were supposed to be top of the line. They had stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a community pool and spa. This place had the works. It all went up in flames, and it went up fast.

The arson investigators couldn’t solve the mystery as to why the buildings caught fire. This story really caught attention because a firefighter was injured fighting the blaze. Luckily, he ended up recovering, but the buildings did not.

After being a dirt patch for ten years, the land was purchased and converted into an awesome area to knock out all your errands. Aside from the Sprouts market, there is also a Cookie Cutters hair salon, a vegetarian restaurant, a delicious taco shop, a rocking coffee shop, and even a nail bar. More stores are opening in the area over the coming months.
